The Groenland Water Users Association Environmental Resource Unit (ERU) safeguards the Groenlandberg Catchment, Kogelberg Biosphere, and the Palmiet & Krom Rivers. Through science-driven action and strong partnerships, we protect biodiversity, improve water security, and support sustainable agriculture.

What We Do
Alien & Invasive Plant Clearing
Restoring natural ecosystems to improve water flow, reduce wildfire risks, and protect biodiversity.
Water Quality Monitoring
Regular sampling for pH, conductivity, sodium, iron, and E.coli ensures safe irrigation and identifies pollution sources.
Environmental Compliance
Helping landowners and municipalities meet national regulations while supporting sustainable practices.
GIS Mapping & Planning
Advanced mapping tools track invasive species, assess risks, and guide strategic conservation actions.
Partnerships & Collaboration
